Netflix to Bring in an Underrated Henry Cavill Flick to Streaming as Fans Tackle His Absence From 'The Witcher'

Despite recent controversies surrounding his departure from two beloved franchises, The Witcher and Superman, Henry Cavill's filmography has always continued to captivate audiences worldwide. And while his recent projects did not do much as compared to his older flicks, Netflix fans are in for a treat as the streaming giant is about to add an iconic film featuring the A-list actor to its collection. Despite not getting much of what fans expected from his latest projects, the arrival of this classic is expected to act as a respite. 

Adding to its shelf of all Henry Cavill collections, the American streaming giant is bringing his 2015 classic to fans.

Netflix is set to add The Man from U.N.C.L.E. to its collection on July 27, as reported by What's on Netflix. The 2015 spy film starred Henry Cavill as CIA agent Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer as KGB agent Illya Kuryakin. Directed by Guy Ritchie, his frequent director to this date, the movie follows the two agents as they team up to stop a criminal organization. This would be the second time for Netflix to bring it back after having once acquired it back in 2022.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is based on the classic TV series of the same name. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film has since become a cult classic. Fans of Cavill and Ritchie's work are eagerly anticipating the film's arrival on Netflix. The addition of the movie to Netflix's library is expected to attract new viewers to the platform.

Despite the removal of The Tudors in January 2024, Cavill's Netflix catalog remains diverse and engaging. The revival of such a year-old classic got on trend after last year's Suits success by Netflix which worked wonders for the steamer.

As of Henry Cavill, the dad-to-be Hollywood veteran, has his The Witcher leading the charge, while his other Netflix offerings cater to various tastes. From action-packed blockbusters to romantic dramas, his projects have garnered significant attention.
