However, following the lead actor, Henry Cavill’s exit after season three, the series found itself in murky waters. Now all hopes lay pinned on the two leading actresses, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra, with the former even making massive inroads into Hollywood.

The 22-year-old actress recently teased another one of her upcoming A-list projects that stands to shoot her career trajectory up into the heights.

Freya Allan teases the trailer poster for her upcoming horror film

Season three of The Witcher was at the receiving end of criticisms for sidelining Cavill’s Geralt. However, in his absence, Freya Allan rose in performance as Ciri and showcased her acting prowess. The very skill would come into play as the actress helms the leading role in the upcoming Kingdom of the Apes. Yet, she has more in the tow. Allan took to her Instagram stories to tease a poster for a trailer of her upcoming horror thriller flick, Baghead.

Following her breakout in the Netflix show, the upcoming movie will see the actress in her second consecutive leading role in a movie. Directed by Alberto Corredor, the producers behind it are the very ones who put their cash behind It and Barbarian. Additionally, the production company, Studio Canal already boasts a working history with Allan, co-working together for Netflix’s Gunpowder Milkshake. The feature film will have a shape-shifting creature who can communicate and bring back the dead to haunt.

In the meantime, the actress will also take her time to reflect upon her journey as the Netflix fantasy’s Ciri and the road ahead.

Ciri to play a pivotal role in Netflix’s The Witcher season four

The third season of the series played out big updates to Ciri’s character arc. A powerful magic wielder, she gave up her abilities in fear of misuse and temptation of her Elder Blood abilities. Furthermore, she also stood captive by Nilfgaard bounty hunters only to tease her next journey with the fugitive group, The Rats. Thus, the upcoming season will follow her journey as a likely key underlying power figure.

In the meantime, following Tissaia’s death, Yennefer stands at a polar opposite to Ciri. The character building between the two may be explored either as a rivalry or a nostalgic recall. Either way, for Liam Hemsworth’s entry as the new Geralt, the two women of the show have the most hands-on ability to express the narrative flow.
