The cunning show with uncanny action roads of storytelling, which was a winner by its name alone, is Peaky Blinders. The series with its outstanding six installments became a fan favorite, as did its lead, Cillian Murphy. While the disappointment attained manifold with the conclusion of the series, a recent development suggests that Netflix might finally aid the fans’ dismay.

Considering that the giant streamer is embarking on a spree of spin-offs presently, the possibility of Peaky Blinders touching the chord seems very viable.

Is Netflix working on a Peaky Blinders spin-off?

The portrayal of the 1870s Youth gang which gained prolific popularity is currently brewing talks of branching out its storyline. As per Bloomberg reports, Netflix is not only in talks of a spin-off but two for the prime-time show, Peaky Blinders. One of them would be set in 20th-century Boston. It would be focusing some decades later on the original series. 

Whether it would be a continuation like a sequel remains classified. On the other hand, another one would focus on Polly Gray, who became a riotous figure within Peaky Blinders for her matriarch energy. As one of the protagonists, she became a hit for her unconventional leadership legacy. While her role has garnered tremendous inspiration, what the spin-off will bring to the table is a story for the future.

Considering that Peaky Blinders is allegedly helming for an offshoot, some lingering questions would require answers.

Who will star in the spin-offs? Will the storyline pick up from where it had been left?

Netflix might be edging on the spin-off wagon right now, but the most important question that will need attendance is the cast for the same. More gravely for the one focusing on Polly Gray. Amidst the unfolding of chapters of Peaky Blinders, the untimely demise of the actress, Helen McCrory, had taken the world into shudders. Her surreal portrayal of Polly ensued a hovering disappointment with her departure from the reel and the real world, alike.

Furthermore, after Polly’s murder in Peaky Blinders, Thomas Shelby was constantly at war with himself. Although the final stretch witnessed his preparation for his death, the escape artist did live to see another day. With the cards on the table for his unsuccessful attempt at assassinating Mosley and McCrory’s death leaving the seat empty, one can only hope that Netflix does justice with the spin-offs and does not become a burden per se.
