After Bridgerton and Inventing Anna, Shonda Rhimes brings The Residence on Netflix. The Residence will be a mystery drama by Shonda Rhimes and her long-time partner Betsy Beers, as her executive producer. The show will comprise eight episodes inspired by Kate Anderson’s novel The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House. As the streaming giant described the film, it quite sounds like a mixture of Downtown Abbey and Clue.

So, after romantic period drama and revealing the secrets of a scam artist, Shonda wants to create something mysterious, which gives the audience a chilling experience.

What The Residence is all about?

The Residence on Netflix shares the mystery story of the world’s most famous mansion. On a bright evening, influential people from all over America join a dinner party. But suddenly, they find a dead body with 157 suspects. The White House contains 132 rooms, with many staffs. But one eccentric detective made up his mind to find the killer. There is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House. Will the detective find the killer?

When is The Residence coming on Netflix?

Recently Netflix just confirmed the show. The filming and production haven’t even started yet. Unfortunately, we still don’t have any confirmation about the release date.

And also, Netflix has not even announced the cast, and which actor is playing which characters. We guess we have to wait a little bit more for all the information.
