Netflix Names Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Chief Action Officer
The debate for the greatest action star has always been an interesting one. Granted, this is a subjective topic and it can be difficult to compare actors from different generations. However, despite a star-studded lineup, there are a handful who make a convincing contender for the title. Fitting the bill is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Firstly, the immediate advantage of The Terminator star is the sheer size of the man. Moreover, the actor gave some of the finest action films to the audience throughout his career. And recently, Netflix gave due credit to the Governator with a new position in the company.
In recent times, we have witnessed how Schwarzenegger and Netflix have been up to a lot of things. Apart from a documentary on the Austrian Oak, Schwarzenegger will also make his television debut with a show on Netflix. And after two projects together with the streamer, Netflix recently announced The Terminator star as the Chief Action Officer. The streaming platform confirmed the news as it released a thrilling teaser. The 2-minute long trailer showed the Kindergarten Cop star making an entry into Netflix headquarters in an army tank. Furthermore, Schwarzenegger started off in style as he quoted, “No one loves action as much as I do” before confirming “That’s why I’ve accepted the big new job as Netflix’s chief action officer.“

In the trailer, the action icon talked about a bunch of action genre projects available on the streaming platform. Schwarzenegger mentioned some very popular shows including Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction, Henry Cavill‘s The Witcher, and Gal Gadot’s Heart Of Stone.
Alongside talking about these popular action projects, The Terminator star promised to work round the clock to bring the best action to the users. Interestingly, Schwarzenegger did not fail to remind the fans about his upcoming action project Fubar as the trailer featured a glimpse of the show.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s highest paycheck did not come from an action film
We are no strangers to the legacy of Schwarzenegger in Hollywood. While the actor starred in a plethora of genres, his most memorable films were from the action genre. Furthermore, some of his most memorable and highest-paid roles are also in action films. However, surprising as it sounds, the actor’s highest paycheck was not from action films.

Schwarzenegger pocketed nearly $30 million dollars for his role as Doctor Victor Fries a.k.a. Mr Freeze. It was the 1997 superhero project Batman & Robin that starred George Clooney as Bruce Wayne. To make matters more interesting, the film was a huge flop.
