With a mix of bloodcurdling new arrivals and chilling fan-favorites, Netflix is stacking its deck with all kinds of heart-pounding content to keep its subscribers at the edge of their seats. Among the electric lineup of suspense about to light up the platform, one gripping German series is set to take the spotlight this March.

According to Netflix, the streaming giant is returning with the highly anticipated second installment of the Austrian-German crime thriller, Woman of the De--/Totenfrau, on March 19. The first season of the TV-MA rated show is already available on the streamer and has earned a whopping 76% approval on the Popcornmeter of Rotten Tomatoes. Nicolai Rohde directed the first installment and the creators involved include Benito and Wolfgang Mueller, and Barbara Stepansky.

Driven by a burning thirst for vengeance, a woman embarks on a ruthless pursuit of the murderers of her husband in Totenfrau/Woman of the De--. But as she digs deeper, she uncovers the festering wounds of her small community’s underbelly, exposing a tangled web of deceit and unspeakable horrors. Mike Majzen, Rhode, the Muellers and Stepansky have co-written the script and the show is produced by Thomas Hroch, the Muellers, and Gerald Podgornig.

Released in 2022, the first season of the Totenfrau/Woman of the De-- stars Anna Maria Mühe, Romina Küper, Emilia Pieske, Britta Hammelstein, Yousef Sweid, Dominic Marcus Singer, Felix Klare, and Michou Friesz. Besides them, Peter Kurth, Rina Juniku, Robert Palfrader, Andrea Wenzl, Gregor Bloéb, Tristán López, and Luis Vorbach also make up the cast. However, this is far from the end of the star-studded cast.
