Netflix Creator Steven Knight Set to Create Yet Another Series in the Home City of ‘Peaky Blinders’
It hasn’t been a month since Peaky Blinders ended and fans are asking for more. Now, we all know that the movie that shall conclude the high octane drama series is still a year away. However, that doesn’t mean the brilliant mind of Steven Knight has nothing more to offer.
Steven Knight is currently working on a series set in era of 2 tone. And you’ll be amazed to guess where the new drama is set in; it certainly got Peaky fans excited. Let us find out why.
Steven Knight has a new drama in the works

Two Tone, Steven Knight’s new work, tells the tale of an extended family and four young people who were lured into the Coventry and Birmingham music scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Knight stated the series’ music will be “sensational,” uniting black, white, and Asian teens at the time. It will begin production at Knight’s new Birmingham studios later this year.
Peaky Blinders, his immensely successful BBC drama, is also set in the same city. According to Karen Wilson of producers Kudos, this new six-part series on BBC One will be set in the West Midlands during a moment of “real cultural and historical progression.”
The Specials, The Selecter, The Beat, and Madness were among the bands that emerged from the music scene. They mixed traditional Jamaican ska music with punk and went on to secure their position in popular culture.

Steven shared that this new project is really dear to him and called it “literally very close to home.” He also stated how he feels seven though the characters are set in the ’80s still are relevant in the present time.
“Steven has taken his knowledge of this time and place and used it to weave a brilliantly original,” said Ben Irving, acting director of BBC Drama
