According to Netflix’s official website, Matthew Law and Y’lan Noel are gearing up to star in a fresh, gritty crime thriller, Nemesis, on Netflix. The creator of Power Universe, Courtney A. Kemp, and Tani Marole are co-creating the show in a new creative partnership with the former and the streaming mogul. As per the official synopsis, Nemesis follows two men on diverse sides of the law. It is “the tale of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective).”

Nemesis begins with the “subversion” of the heist genre. However, it soon turns out to be a do-or-die scenario, coupled with household politics, and high-stakes suspense, culminating in a journey of what “drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.” Mario Van Peebles is set to direct the first two episodes of the series. He serves as an executive producer alongside Chris Selak and Philipp Barnett.
