In all honesty, Netflix does not really need a festive ringer to wear a Santa cap since its sack of content claims a refresher literally every now and then. But the streamer has a penchant for timing, and of course, it has left no stone unturned in decking up the Christmas tree by doubling down on festive contents like Carry-On. 2024 is finally drawing to a close with a curtain call in a few, but Netflix shows no signs of slowing down on its festive library with a fresh slate of arrivals, specially curated for a thrilling holiday season. The streaming giant added Jaume Collet-Serra’s Run All Night in early December to keep the story of crime-thrillers ongoing. The 2015 action film, written by Brad Ingelsby, stars Liam Neeson, Joel Kinnaman, Common, and Ed Harris.

Marking the third collaboration between Collet-Serra and Neeson after Unknown and Non-Stop, Run All Night follows an Irish mob veteran who is on the run with his estranged son after being coerced into killing a mobster boss’ son. The film grossed $71.6 million on a budget of $50-61.6 million. Action thrillers may not have been the conventional festive content fans ask for, but Carry-On tells a different story, and Run All Night is here to back up the “Chrismaction” fever, as Sofia Carson calls it.
