The record-shattering success of the Will Smith movie got creators interested in the potential of animation. It became one of the highest-grossing films of 2004. Therefore, it is only right that it finds a home in one of the greatest streamers of today. Shark Tale will be available to stream on Netflix from the 1st of April. Shark Tale boasted of a star-studded cast, one that included the likes of favorites, such as Will Smith, Robert DeNiro, and Angelina Jolie, among others. Its layered plot line, many interpreted as a jibe to the standards set by society, has made it the evergreen movie that it is.

More than the storyline, however, an element of the movie that got everyone talking was the animation. You will not need to look twice to see that Oscar is indeed Will Smith. The animation had people divided back then. Some applauded the move of making the characters look like that animated version of their voice actors while some are still waiting for an apology.

As the movie joins Netflix’s impressive collection of animated movies, one that includes the Oscar 2023 winner Pinocchio, it will be a marvelous trip down memory lane for its users.
