Netflix Adds Yet Another Well-Loved Show in the Cancel List, This Time Binning It After Season 2
Netflix has been the market leader for years for its original content. Although the graph of the streamer is notoriously going down for canceling its shows regardless of the reviews and ratings. You might have come across petitions fans submitted for their favorite shows. As the platform left viewers in the midst of cliffhangers and uncompleted stories, which made them quite angry. Much to people’s shock, the streamer has yet again added another name to the list of 2023 cancels.
In less than two years of its release, the renewal of Sex/Life for season 3 has been canceled. This news might be heartbreaking for the audience who have been following the show from the beginning. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to watch this drama-filled storyline because of the negative reviews it received.

Moreover, following the statement leading star of the show give it became impossible to bring it back. During her appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Sarah Shahi opened up about her experience on the show. She revealed that she did not have the support of the people she was working around. So it became much more difficult for the actress to handle things and she decided to not work on this show.
“I struggled with the material. I just felt the thing that it had the first season — I mean, I’m never gonna work for Netflix again now after saying all this, but I can’t lie,” added the 43-year-old. Season two concluded the plot with a happy ending for the main characters who were struggling with their relationships.
The announcement of the show’s cancellation came out on April 7th, 2023. However, the cancellation news is not surprising considering its short run on the top 10 list.

According to the Netflix Top 10 website, Sex/Life Season 2 only remained on the favorite list for four weeks. Considering the viewership debut season garnered, this is a massive drop for the show. Season 1 built huge stats by taking over the screens of the subscribers for several months.
Therefore, season 2 could be seen as one of the major reasons why Netflix axed the drama only after two seasons. Since it did not have the potential to hold viewers anymore, the series vanished from the top list only in a month.
