Emily Rudd has brought the spotlight directly above her with One Piece. The 30-year-old actress perfectly donned the traits of bravery, cunningness, and loyally greedy persona of Nami. Additionally, her performance in the show is truthful to the source, something that Rudd herself is immensely proud of. However, in a recent interview with Collider, the actress said that although One Piece is close to her heart; it is not among her favorite animes. Furthermore, her all-time favorite anime is Made in Abyss.

Narrating the story of an orphan girl exploring an unchartered territory called the ‘Abyss’ with a part-robot-boy, Made in Abyss, was a two-season anime show that started in 2017. It was based on the seinen manga by Akihito Tsukushi. While One Piece has humor and comedy at heart, Made in Abyss is a dark fantasy adventure. Moreover, Rudd also added, “I love Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Tokyo Ghoul.” Nevertheless, although One Piece may not be on her favorite list, the actress firmly believed that she “was born to be Nami.”

One Piece finally gave Netflix the share of the pie that had always eluded it. In a testament to the creative genius of the minds involved behind it, the show is easily one of Netflix’s best ever. The executive producer made sure that every scene fit into the grand scale and original appeal of his creation. Additionally, the performances by the Straw Hat Pirates cast were in a league of its own. The actors received immense praise and critical acclaim for handling with ease the many visual effects and CGI shots involved in delivering perfect fan service.
