“My Body Feels Like Christmas”: Andrew Garfield’s Emotional Moment on Seeing the Cast of Cobra Kai

Netflix is releasing several great titles at this time of the year. But taking the spotlight is the release of Tick, Tick… Boom starring Andrew Garfield, followed by the release of season 4 of Cobra Kai. Fans of either will know that Garfield, like many others, is “obsessed” with Cobra Kai.
Netflix Film Club went out of its way to surprise the Spiderman actor with videos from the cast members after Garfield mentioned in a previous interview about his love for the show. After Mary Mouser, Peyton List, Jacob Bertrand, William Zabka, and Ralph Macchio spoke to the star-struck actor, he struggled to find words. Later, he said, “My body feels like Christmas.”

Tick, Tick… Boom! was one of Netflix’s most awaited titles this year. The movie is about Jonathan Larson, composer, lyricist, and playwright who managed to change the face of American theater with just two works. Though Larson died very young, his works are cherished and widely recognized as some of the most influential pieces of art of the last century.
Andrew Garfield brought to life the legend of Larson in the most spectacular manner. The actor replicated Larson in the most detailed manner, making the viewers deeply resonate with the man. Yet again, Garfield is on the receiving end of critical acclaim for his performance, and deservedly so!

On the other hand, is Andrew Garfield’s favorite show- Cobra Kai. Sequel to the original Karate Kid films, Cobra Kai is a martial arts drama-comedy, and, if we are to trust critics, it is also one of the finest shows out there. Cobra Kai is about the protagonists of the Karate Kid films, Daniel and Johnny. The series recounts their middle-age, rekindling rivalry, and the impact they have on the youth they encounter.

So far, Cobra Kai has had 3 seasons, with the fourth one releasing shortly along with confirmed news of a fifth season. Season 4 of the series will debut on Netflix on December 31, 2021.
