‘Murder Mystery’ Season 2 – Netflix Reveals All New Cast Additions, Check Other Updates
Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are coming to Netflix to solve another murder mystery along with the new roster of cast members. Murder Mystery was an enormous hit on Netflix with views from 83 million households in the first 28 days and it became the fifth most-viewed film on Netflix. Now, the streaming giant is back with a sequel, which will be filmed in Hawaii, Paris, and the Caribbean. Here’s everything you need to know about Netflix’s Murder Mystery 2.
Why Netflix Is Making Murder Mystery 2
After Murder Mystery was a huge hit on Netflix, the streaming giant announced the sequel film back in October 2019, just after a few days of the release of the film. Over the years, Netflix has offered films like The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over, and Hubie Halloween, but none of them have the same effect on the audience as Murder Mystery. Moreover, the idea of seeing Hollywood’s favorite, Jennifer Anniston also drew in viewers to the first movie. Hence, it makes sense that the streaming platforms is working on a sequel.

Murder Mystery 2 Release Date
Netflix still hasn’t announced a release date for Murder Mystery 2. Moreover, the film has just started its filming and production in Oahu, Hawaii, in January 2022. Thus, it will take some time to complete the shoot.
However, we can estimate the dateline, according to the filming and production of Murder Mystery in 2019. The first film had finished its filming in 2018 and was launched on Netflix in 2019.
So, we can estimate that, if the sequel completes its filming process in 2022, Murder Mystery 2 will release on Netflix at the beginning of 2023.

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston will obviously play the lead roles in the film. Even Adeel Akhtar and John Kani will reprise their role from Murder Mystery. Adeel Akhtar will play the role of The Maharajah and John Kani will play the role of Colonel Ulenga again.
