Director Christian Schwochow, inspired by the novel of Robert Harris, made a German/British drama film, titled Munich—The Edge of War. The film was already released at the BFI London Film Festival on 13 October 2021, and received a a limited theatrical launch before it started streaming on Netflix on January 21, 2022. Since it release, the Munich—The Edge of War cast have been much appreciated for their work.

Munich—The Edge of War is set around the infamous 1938 Munich conference, assembled by Adolf Hitler to force the western powers to give him the Czech Sudetenland. The film follows two friends stuck at opposite ends of a conflict and how they deal with the disastrous events that follow the conference.

Since its release, the movie, particularly Munich—The Edge of War cast members George MacKay and Jannis Niewöhner, have attracted fans worldwide. While fans love these two in the movie, we grew to love them more after a Still Watching Netflix YouTube video. The two actors have decided to answer questions while playing Jenga.

In the video, George MacKay and Jannis Niewöhner share their experience while filming this period drama while playing Jenga.

The two participants start at a great pace. The question is “When were the Munich accords signed?” Jannis was quite specific about his answer: September 29, 1938. And ding, ding, ding! He was right.

Next question was, “who is the fastest to learn their lines?” Jannis Niewöhner explains how they had a scene that was supposed to be in English but it was to be shot in German as well. And turns out George learned his German lines in just a week.

The questions then headed to each actor’s favorite and hardest scenes to shoot. Apparently, the best scene to shoot was the Brewhouse one, where the actors improvised and included their own arguments. On the other hand, the hardest scene to shoot was the car fight, as it had a lot of retakes.

George MacKay and Jannis Niewöhner were then asked about their favorite location to shoot, which was the hotel where all the political parties’ meetings were held. By the end of the video, Jannis pulled one Jenga block and everthing toppled, to which the actor adorably exclaimed, “Cut! Cut! Cut! Let’s take that again.”
