The entire One Piece fan base has been hugely supportive of bringing Curtis into the upcoming season 2. After Curtis’ Instagram post gathered an incredible response from the fans, the creators could not help but notice the actress. It seems like the Halloween star does not even have to audition for the part as showrunner Matt Owens replied to the actress’s request by commenting, “Mommy dearest, that’s why we sent you that figure! No need to lobby. Once we get what we deserve and get back to work, let’s talk!”
Owens’ response has made it clear that the actress will soon join the rest of the crew for season 2. Dr. Kureha is a crucial character in the manga and anime series. Despite many labeling her as a witch, the character is an ally to Luffy and his crew. However, even though Curtis’s involvement in the series seems likely, there might be some time till season 2 graces our screens.
Notably, Kureha was not the only important character missing in season 1.

One Piece season one delivered one of the finest live-action series the fans have witnessed. Despite giving a fresh touch to the story, the Netflix series did not compromise on the source material. However, the first season only introduced a handful of characters from the series. Among the many characters who missed out in season 1 was Luffy’s brother Ace.
Fans are no strangers to how prominent Ace is in the story. Even though not having him was disappointing, season 2 will probably bring the character to life. Meanwhile, other characters, such as Hachi and Tashigi, who hold great importance in the manga, did not appear in season one. After Owens almost confirmed Curtis’ appearance, chances of seeing the missing other characters seem incredibly high.
