The fifth season of the superhit martial-art drama series was long overdue, and the fans are not getting over the show anytime soon. Andrew Garfield is Team Miyagi-Do for Cobra Kai Season 5

Andrew Garfield is not just a Cobra Kai fan; he is a super fan. The tick, tick BOOM! actor has expressed his obsession with the show on various occasions. Previously, Netflix Geeked posted a video of the actor talking about the show before season 4 dropped. “Cobra Kai became an obsession, and I had to put it on the shelf because you have not given us season 4,” Garfield said in the video. Moreover, the Cobra Kai cast had something in return as the cast made a video thanking Garfield for being a super fan.

The video left Garfield overwhelmed as the actor reacted, “Miyagi-Do for life. Thank you. I’m very moved and touched by that. That was one of the best moments of my life.”

What is Miyai-Do?

For those of you who have not watched Cobra Kai yet, Miyagi-Do is one of the karate dojos. At the start of season 4, Daniel LaRusso’s Miyagi-do and Johnny Lawrence’s Eagle Fang teamed up to take down Cobra Kai in the all-valley tournament. However, the two had a fallout for not much longer as the dojos often found each other’s teaching methods clashing. Season 5 picked up right where season 4 ended.

Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) sidelined John Kreese and took over Cobra Kai. Silver won the all-valley tournament against Daniel’s Miyagi-do and Johnny’s Eagle Fang. As per their agreement, the two are forced to close up shop. However, Silver might fool everyone but not LaRusso.

Cobra Kai’s influence spreads rapidly, and the drama between the fighters continues to build. Every season of Cobra Kai has exceeded expectations and season 5 is no surprise. Garfield to star in Cobra Kai?

In an interview, the producers of the show Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, spoke about the possibility of Garfield joining Cobra Kai since he is such a huge fan of the series. Jon revealed, “As to any specifics, I probably shouldn’t say anything because who knows? Maybe he will be on the show, and I don’t want to take any chances of ruining that.”
