Stranger Things has come a long since fans first met a mysterious girl with special psychokinetic abilities in 2016. Eleven instantly took a permanent place in the hearts of viewers with her piercing eyes and stoic demeanor. The audience became attached to the character who was running from the evil scientist she called Papa. Over the course of the four seasons, we saw some major changes in this girl brought apparently by the talented superstar Millie Bobby Brown. But during this huge transformation, did you figure out the core of this fan-favorite character? If not, don’t worry because the portrayer herself talked about the time fans saw the real Eleven in the show.
In an exclusive interview last year, Millie Bobby Brown revealed how season 4 brought the honest version of Eleven. During the conversation, she stated that time has tested Eleven, and this is her most authentic self on the forefront. “She is really explaining her true emotions and she’s trying to have this boy understand her,” Brown told Sam Eckmann during her interview with GoldDerby last year referring to the confrontation scene between Mike and Eleven in season 4 part 1.

She continued that it was the time when her character faced some of the scariest monsters of her life like bullies and self identity. We saw that the Hawkins gang find themselves scattered across different locations in the latest season. And Eleven starts living her teenage life going to school and being bullied by other students.
All these things became overwhelming for the character who didn’t have her powers and was struggling to find her identity among people. While playing this complex phase of her character’s life, the actress tried channeling that inner growth in the character.
