Millie Bobby Brown has established herself as a critically acclaimed actor in the entertainment industry with films and shows like Enola Holmes, Enola Holmes 2, Godzilla vs Kong, Godzilla, Stranger Things, Modern Family, and others. The 18-year-old is all set to add another feather to her already glorious hat with the film The Girls I’ve Been.

The Girls I’ve Been is an adaptation of the book of the same name by Tessa Sharpe. Netflix has gained the rights for the suspenseful thriller and they have roped in Millie Bobby Brown to play the lead role of Nora O’Malley. The fans are in for a treat as Brown will be joined by the American actor and producer Jason Bateman in the much-awaited movie.

Millie Bobby Brown will also be taking up the role of executive producer for the Netflix Original with her production studio called PCMA Productions. Meanwhile, the Ozark actor has also joined as another executive producer. If we go by the book, the suspense thriller will include a lot of triggering things and incidents, as it will describe the journey of someone trying to overcome the long-lasting effects of trauma. 

Being the daughter of a con artist, the protagonist Nora O’Malley knows the art of blending into different characters. She dons various faces throughout her life to dupe criminals and earn a living for herself. Nora has a knack for trying unique things to get herself and her friends out of life-threatening troubles. 

After five years of living different lives, Nora encounters a dangerous situation. She is held hostage in a bank heist and needs to put out something extraordinary to escape from there safely.

The Girls I’ve Been was announced in July 2020, but it is still in the pre-production stage. There is no clarity regarding when the movie will go on the floors. As mentioned by What’s On Netflix, Millie Bobby Brown’s hectic schedule is one of the prime reasons behind the delay in the shooting. The actor was busy filming for Stranger Things Season 4 and Enola Holmes 2 the past year.
