Crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass is a noted piece in the inventory of this genre throughout Hollywood. Dealing with one of the most gruesome themes of violence against women, it was released for the screens in 2021, with a cast studded with the likes of Bruce Willis, Megan Fox, and Colson "Machine Gun Kelly" Baker, marking an interesting dynamic throughout the movie. 

Keeping its premise in mind, and already being past its release, where has this movie been made available for viewing? 

Based on the true story of a Texas hailing serial killer, where the minutes follow Agent Karl Helter, played by Bruce Willis and his partner Rebecca Lombardo, played by Megan Fox. Following the directorial debut of Randall Emmett, the Penscola, Florida based plot of Midnight In The Switchgrass had been made available to watch from the comfort of ones homes, as of July 23, 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. Moreover, the movie has not had or revealed any plans of hitting Netflix anytime soon. 

In further detail, the story follows the two partners Karl Helter and Rebecca Lombardo as they try busting a trafficking ring, coincidentally crossing paths with a serial killer. Knowing that it was not up to their prowess to handle someone of the stature in the criminal world, Helter and Rebecca teamed themselves up with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Agent Byron Crawford, who has already been working on the case for years.

Despite the engaging plot, while Midnight In The Switchgrass might not have done much for the showbiz industry, it would be a lie to claim it to be an end-to-end waste, especially with Meghan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's relationship unintentionally taking centrestage.   

When there was news of this odd casting of Midnight In The Switchgrass flying around, a different news had managed to cover up the promotions for this movie altogether. The first glances shared between Megan Fox and current fiance Colson Baker (Machine Gun Kelly), where recorded to be on these very sets, and rumors had been catching wildfire by the time Fox's video for Kelly's single; 'Bloody Valentine' was released. The couple finally went public in July of 2020, got engaged by January 2022, and as of November 2024, Fox had shared a heartfelt note about her first successful pregnancy on social media. The couple however, is said to have separated somewhere in 2023.

Much like their personal aesthetics, Midnight in the Switchgrass tries to follow a dark almost dingy theme of violence against women, studded with quite the cast under it belt. Despite being called a generic thriller, it can be proved to be a mind-numbing and comfortable watch, in terms of how it would require as less of brain power to be assessed as possible.
