It is no doubt that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has emerged as the greatest fashion icon of the era. From her various outfits that once fell pray to sprawling controversies, to the “Markle Effect”, everyone has been looking up to the Duchess as their style tycoon. In fact, there was Hollywood’s one of the most timeless, sought-after actresses, Angelina Jolie might have considered Meghan Markle as her style inspiration.

As reported by Vogue, the mother of six attended a grand event in London a couple of years ago. Her ensemble evidently gave a major flashback to one of Meghan Markle’s similar attire that she had donned time and again. The 2018 outfit of the actress was also one of the very few times when the public got to witness the star in perfect British elegance and flamboyance. 

Angelina Jolie channeled a Meghan Markle-esque for a grand event in London

Angelina Jolie, 47 attended the Order of St. Michael and St. George’s service at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. She donned a pale grey bodycon dress designed by Ralph and Russo. Complementary to her silky outfit, she matched a similar-colored fascinator and pair of gloves to blend with the English landed aristocracy. Adding a final touch to the chick look, she had shiny silver heels that seemingly channeled the wardrobe of the then-new Duchess of Sussex. 

Although it was not a mirror image of any of Meghan Markle’s outfits, it did resemble her overall choice of clothes. What made the look even more similar to that of the Duchess of the perfectly done updo hairstyle for which the Suits actress is famous. However, this was not the only time the star and the Duchess matched their outfits. Back in the day, newly married Meghan Markle and Angelina Jolie once again twinned a white cape-style dress on different occasions. 

While the Duchess wore a creamy white Givenchy dress with a cape design over the shoulders ending well at her elbows. An exact outfit but with minute differences was put on by Jolie at the Red Carpet UK premiere of Unbroken way back in 2014. It was an exact carbon copy of the former but had a broader neckline around the collars.
