Amidst all the chaos and controversies, one thing seems to be certain for the British Royals: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have perhaps achieved the happily ever after they have always been striving for. Parents of two, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have long been madly in love with each other; so much so that they shook the entire British empire from its roots with a single Netflix documentary. Well, giving up his Royal duties for a happy marriage, the Duke has already set the bar high. But could you imagine there was a patch of jealousy and roughness between the two?

If anything, the tell-all Netflix docuseries did two things right: revealing the raw truths of the royal family and re-living Prince Harry and Meghan’s still young love. And while the strong allegations continue to churn malice for the monarchy, yet another thing that came up front is a rough patch the two had to go through. A Royal insider revealed that there was a time when Meghan Markle could not help but be jealous of her husband’s former amours.

The two are seemingly walking strong in 2023 and the former American actress seems to have set strong boundaries for the couple. However, things were reportedly not the same back in 2018-19. According to a royal insider, the two former lovers of Prince Harry- Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy attended the nuptials at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Insiders, as per Radar, said that Harry and Markle’s relationship did take a hit the year after, “putting their normally lovey-dovey dynamic on ice” for a brief period before the couple worked through it. While Davy was Prince Harry’s first love and met him back in 2004, he dated Bonas from 2011 to 2014 after breaking up with the former. Davy also revealed back in 2016 that she and the Duke will “always stay good friends.” However, it is all in the past now and Prince Harry’s efforts to protect his family have perhaps been fruitful.
