With great power comes great responsibility; and no one would understand this more than the members of the royal family, both working and estranged. The enormous fame and glory which comes along with being a royal are also accompanied by loads of responsibilities and strict protocols that you have to attend before even attending yourself. Some, with an experience like Waleses, continued to survive while polar opposites from a faraway land, the Sussexes, especially the Duchess, Meghan Markle, fell off due to the misalignment. The result was complete chaos.

One of many such innumerable instances for the mother of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet was a heart-wrenching, horrific experience for the young parent. Speaking of the same herself in her award-winning Podcast, Meghan Markle once poured it all about the mishap during his early years as a royal.

Last year, in her inaugural episode of Archetypes, the Duchess of Sussex and her Athlete friend Serena Williams broke down the stereotypes attached to a working woman’s work and family balance. Speaking of the same, Markle went candid about the Prince Archie Nursery fire incident. She revealed her plight in a tense voice about how her royal duties got her away from such a massive incident related to his son.

While the Duke and Duchess were rendering their royal engagements, Prince Archie happened to escape narrowly a fatal fire incident. Even after the fire broke out, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were expected to go for another engagement. This was something the mother of the Duchess found unacceptable. She talked to her husband to just inform people. She desperately hoped if they could understand the importance of “human moments behind the scenes” and buy some time for their son.

Nonetheless, nothing of that sort ever happened. And they had to go out for another official engagement, leaving Prince Archie unattended. 

Meghan Markle on what exactly happened in the Prince Archie Fire Incident 

It so happened that Meghan Markle and the Prince were busy in their schedule as working royals in Africa. Prince Archie was back in Cana with his nanny. One fine afternoon it was about the time when the caretaker was supposed to put newborn Prince to sleep. However, fortunately for some reason, she decided to go downstairs with the Prince and not straight into the nursery. 

It was then that the fire broke out from the room heater. It was the same place where baby Archie was to sleep. The incidents shook everyone, including Lauren, the nanny herself. The Duchess, as she confessed, was baffled upon hearing. Nonetheless, remained helpless owing to her royal duties.
