After Netflix recently ventured into live sports streaming, the streaming mogul has grown bolder, leaving its competitors trailing in its wake. While the platform’s tendency to test its subscribers’ patience remains a point of contention, there is no denying its continued popularity, largely because it consistently stays a step ahead in the rat race. Netflix’s content library is unrivaled, though there are times when the anticipation can feel too heavy like the long wait for the seventh season of Black Mirror set to drop next year.

In the meantime, Netflix offers fans a thrilling alternative with a Thai equivalent of the beloved anthology series.

Netflix’s ever-refreshing content library sets it apart from the rest of the streamers. And for the December special that is making its way to the streamer, akin to the critically acclaimed anthology series Black Mirror, is a Netflix original series, Tomorrow and I. The series is a four-part show, whose first installment is slated to drop on December 4th, according to What's On Netflix, focusing on science fiction with an outlook on socially conservative Thailand.

Directed by Paween Purijitpanya, the cast includes Pakorn Chatborrirak, Violette Wautier, Waruntorn Paonil, Treechada Hongsyok, Ray Macdonald, Timethai, Thongchai Thongkuntom, Aelm Thavornsiri, Pongsatorn Jongwilas, Chananticha Chaipa, and Wanichaya Pornpanarittichai. The show was first announced earlier this year during Netflix’s expansion of its Southeast Asia production library. This will allegedly be the first sci-fi title from Netflix Thailand, where the company aims to “push boundaries of local storytelling.”

While December looks all set to welcome the anthological spirits with Tomorrow and I, the wait for Black Mirror also keeps diminishing with each passing day.

When will Netflix drop Black Mirror season 7?

According to Tudum by Netflix’s report from September, Charlie Brooker’s satirical anthology series, Black Mirror, has been deep in production on six new episodes for season 7 following its renewal announcement last year. As part of Geeked Week, the lead cast of the upcoming season was revealed. Black Mirror’s seventh season includes Awkwafina, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Siena Kelly, and Billy Magnussen.

While the hints are enough to keep fans excited, they can satisfy their satirical cravings with Tomorrow and I's first season in the meantime.
