Throughout his career, Arnold Schwarzenegger has proved himself to be a man of many credits. From a legendary career in bodybuilding to cementing himself as an established Hollywood actor, Schwarzenegger has done it all. When we talk about Schwarzenegger’s career in Hollywood, we picture a muscular guy in action films. However, in reality, the Austrian Oak has had a very versatile career. We have seen him win hearts with his action films and then leave the audience in splits with his comedy movies. However, as surprising as it sounds, Schwarzenegger could have been a part of a Super Mario Bros film as well.

Could have would have should have been. Would you ever imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger, the leading action hero from the 80s and 90s star in a Super Mario Bros film? Well, if you would not, I have a surprise for you. As per reported by GiantFreakinRobot, the Terminator star was the first choice to play Bowser’s live-action Super Mario Bros. movie. While Bowser in the film had a more human look, the actual concept would look somewhat like a complete reptile. The reports further suggest how Schwarzenegger would have had to cover his face heavily green along with two horns on top. On top of him would be heavy spikey armor. To make it more realistic, his shoulder would be made up of Koopa shells.

Another version of Bowser saw a little less frightening look. The prosthesis on it was lighter, with small horns peeking out of the red mullet. Interestingly, this version looks more like the Austrian Oak, while in the upper pictures, Schwarzenegger is almost unrecognizable. Sadly, the version in the film was not even close to the two. The role went on to Dennis Hopper, who starred as Bowser in the 1993 sci-fi film.

Over the years, we have witnessed Arnold Schwarzenegger star in a plethora of action films. And throughout, the Terminator star starred in a number of renowned franchises as well. However, do you know Schwarzenegger could have starred in the Incredible Hulk series as well?

It might surprise you to know, but the Terminator star was the studio’s first choice to play Hulk back in The Incredible Hulk. Owing to the actor’s incredible physique, he would be a perfect fit for the role. However, as per reports by Looper, the actor could not land himself the role since he was not tall enough. The role later went on to Lou Ferrigno, who did an amazing job in the part as well.
