The world fell in love with Locke &amp; Key when it was released in 2020. Netflix believed in its original so much that the show was immediately renewed for a second season and a third. With the second season premiering in 2021 October, it has been quite a while since we received any updates about Locke &amp; Key season 3.
But the wait is over! Netflix has just released fresh new photos for the show and a huge update that will leave fans sad. Let us take a look at the latest revelations from Netflix.
<h2>Locke &amp; Key season 3- new updates</h2>
Season 3 began production in the spring of 2021, almost six months before season 2 was released. Season 3 was actually completed a few months before season 2 was published, thanks to the efforts of the cast and crew. But we still do not have an exact release date for the show.
In a recent tweet from Netflix Geeked, it was revealed that the show&#8217;s third season will be its last. The tweet contained new photos from the season. And a message from the show creator about the conclusion of the story.

If Netflix wants to maintain Locke &amp; Key as a fall program, the season will have to wait until September or October 2022 for the release.

We also know that the first Echo, Captain Frederick Gideon, is free, and you know he&#8217;ll go after the Lockes. He&#8217;ll most likely feel they&#8217;re to blame for his death and want revenge.
