“Like he’s the puppet master”- Manny Marroquin Shares His Experience Working With Kanye West
Last year has evidently been a roller coaster ride for once upon a time the richest musician in the hip-hop industry, Kanye West because of his allegedly ignorant behavior. He brought misfortune unto himself by making enough controversial remarks to nettle the masses. However, that by no means takes away his artistic virtue and the past contributions he has made to the industry. And the Grammy-winning mixing engineer just could not stop singing the praises of this American pop artist.
His unique sped-up sample-based beats and his flamboyant personality quickly helped Ye to rise to stardom and since then, he has helped a plethora of artists, including the likes of John Legend, Big Sean, and Jay Z. Another artist whom Ye helped to carve a path is none other than Manny Marroquin, the mixer behind West’s ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,’ and ‘Yeezus.’ Speaking with experience, Marroquin not only called Ye a “genius,” but also an “emotional guy,” in a chat with drummer Elmo Lovano.

The Grammy winner further explained that the ‘Donda’ singer “is not a technical guy” who can guide anyone step by step, but West is almost like “the puppet master and he’s just utilising me to get what he wants and needs, you know?” Marroquin said in the interview before sharing how Ye would make him do one thing many times and exactly when he has lost all hope, the hip-hop singer will announce, “it’s done.”

After observing his real estate dream go to rubble, even West’s Instagram return is apparently giving him nightmares. If you are keeping up with the news, you must be knowing that the 45-year-old shared Jonah Hill’s performance in 21 Jump Street and stated that it made him “like Jewish again.” This not only astonished fans but it seems like it further garnered criticism from users, as they called him, “the most uncertain man of all time.”
