Liam Hemsworth’s Season 4 Debut Will Not Derail ‘The Witcher’s’ Pre-planned Season 5 Conclusion
When Andrzej Sapkowski's intricate and expansive universe was brought to life by Netflix, the endeavor was met with a fair share of skepticism. Yet, audiences were reassured that, if not extraordinary, The Witcher would at the very least deliver compelling drama. As we now find ourselves anticipating the arrival of Season 4, it is evident that the series has indeed transcended expectations, delivering a phenomenal viewing experience. However, the drama behind the screen has outweighed the drama on screen thanks to the unexpected entry of Liam Hemsworth.
Amidst fans' skepticism regarding the series' viability without Henry Cavill as the iconic Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher exudes confidence in its trajectory, as evidenced by emerging reports of a carefully planned conclusion.

When Henry Cavill marked his exit from the fictional series, many rallied to end the series then and there. The creators, however, had always hoped to carry on the series for a longer period. Now, as Liam Hemsworth takes the reigns for Season 4, the creators have not only confirmed a Season 5 with him, but as per Redanian Intelligence, Season 5 of The Witcher is complete, taking away the greater burden from Hemsworth's shoulders.
The announcement of Season 4 filming was followed by that of a Season 5 being in the books and even before the former has made its big screen debut, the Season 5 ending is set in place. Given that The Witcher is a book adapted series, fans have a fair idea of what the conclusion might entail. However, the creators have never been book accuracy fans, so the mystery remains.
Although the ending of the series is in place even before Liam Hemsworth has marked his beginning as the Geralt of Rivia, Season 4 will come with its own unique Ciri-esque allure.

Much of the previous seasons have been about Geralt and Ciri. The Witcher not only went to the moon and back to protect her, but also trained her to protect herself. Towards the end of Season 3, the family of Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer find themselves lost. Therefore, Season 4 will follow Ciri's journey with The Rats, making way for the most controversial arc of The Witcher franchise.
Just how much of an impact the upcoming season will have depends on how close the creators are sticking to the book, if at all, this time around. Fortunately, as per the first look that surfaced a few weeks back, Ciri's look as well as the narrative being pitched aligns well with that of the book.
