However, one of the most anticipated anime projects this year is surely the One Piece live-action series on Netflix. We are no strangers to the hype surrounding the live-action series, and the recent updates have further pumped the fans.

After being months in the making, the Eiichiro Oda manga is all set to release in a never-seen-before format. We are mere days away from the release of One Piece’s live-action series on Netflix. While fans are eagerly waiting, the live-action series’ first critic reviews further created a buzz around the show. The embargo has lifted for the upcoming series, allowing critics to give their honest opinions online, and undoubtedly, they are overwhelming. Not long ago, film critic Mohsen took to Twitter as he revealed his experience of watching the series’ first eight episodes. 

The critic was all praises for the upcoming One Piece‘s live-action series. He credited the incredible storyline and cast of the series and made a bold prediction revealing how the series would be remembered as the “KING OF THE NETFLIX SHOWS!”

Elsewhere, he admitted that having no knowledge of the source material did not stop him from enjoying the show to the fullest. The user further went on to call the upcoming project the real deal. Meanwhile, after reading reviews, it seems like the live-action series could indeed turn the tide for live-action series on Netflix.

Over the past few months, Netflix has been struggling with some of its live-action releases. Some of the most anticipated projects on the streamer, including Cowboy Bebop and the Death Note film, failed to impress the audience. However, reading the critic reviews, it seems like One Piece’s live-action series could surely break the mold. 

At the same time, the streamer is in full swing to rebuild the anime fan base on its platform. Not long ago, Netflix also announced that it would bring back multiple exciting One Piece films and shows. For now, the upcoming live-action series will grace our screens on 31st August.
