Arnold Schwarzenegger has navigated through three monumental careers. Starting off as the greatest bodybuilder in the world, Schwarzenegger moved with ease into the film industry and then into politics, all the while supporting and inspiring his fans no matter how big he got. During his bodybuilding days, while his records were noteworthy, it was his personality that pulled people towards him. The Mr. Olympia titles are a testament to the strength he possesses, however, Arnold Schwarzenegger should be noted for the strength he continues to give back to this day.

The Terminator actor carried the same cut-throat persona off the screens, yet remained humble and generous. From his days as a bodybuilder to that of a governor, Schwarzenegger gave back not only through his charities but also with his words. At the age of 75 years, the Austrian Oak still continues to inspire fans to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Looking at Arnold Schwarzenegger, his strict diet, and his challenging workouts, it is easy to assume that the actor has always remained healthy. Despite the impressive records he has set, Schwarzenegger is all but a human. And in 1997 he had to undergo heart surgery. While he did not hint at any weaknesses then, even famously opted for a tissue valve to not restrict physical activity. However, the actor recently opened up about his own struggles after a fan shared about facing difficulty in training owing to a disability under one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s posts. Sharing his struggles to even complete breathing exercises, the Terminator actor said “because having a goal, even a smaller one, keeps us going“.

Being the flag-bearer of training that he is, Schwarzenegger confessed that he used to count his breathing exercises as if they were sets of bench presses. Despite getting older, Schwarzenegger has not stopped training his body to be in its fittest form. From trying out new and healthier diets to high-intensity workouts, Schwarzenegger is a fitness freak personified.

Is the Austrian Oak still the greatest bodybuilder?

Arnold Schwarzenegger retired from bodybuilding after a remarkable career in 1980 at the age of 33. Back then, he was considered one, if not the greatest bodybuilder of all time. And as he reaches 75, decades after his retirement, Schwarzenegger is still considered the greatest bodybuilder of all time.

That is not to say that no one has achieved the same feat in bodybuilding since then. Many who have set greater records, such as Ronnie Coleman, still define him as the greatest bodybuilder of all time.
