Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action by Netflix did see its fair share of ups and downs. It also lost the faith of fans after the news that the original creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, left the project.
However, after the two huge updates we received in the past few weeks, thanks to the actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, fans’ faith in Netflix was restored.
And now, thanks to a keen fan, we have on-set photos of the Avatar: The Last Airbender shoot.
Dripmaster926 on Reddit found what appears to show the front of a colossal Fire Nation site of some type. Depending on how much of the original animated series Netflix adapts, there are various possibilities. So it’s a fascinating look at the project as it evolves. The location of pictures below is A Rocha Canada, 192 Street, Surrey, BC.
Since we are still not sure what these pictures are of, people are speculating that these might be the forts where where Zhao jails Aang in the Blue Spirit episode or the setting for Zuko and Zhao’s Agni kai.

Minds behind the show
As the show is going to be the most expensive yet, as revealed by Paul, it is necessary that Netflix chose some of the greatest minds to make the show.
Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) is on board as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Dan Lin from Rideback (The Lego Movie, Aladdin) and Lindsey Liberatore (Walker), as well as Michael Goi (Swamp Thing, American Horror Story), serve as executive producers alongside Kim.
