Based on a DC comic, Hellblazer the movie Constantine starred world renowned Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz. Sharing the screen with him are Djimon Hounsou and many more ruling actors from Hollywood. Although released long back in 2005, fans have again come back to this film on Netflix for its connection with the upcoming television series Sandman.
Netflix’s The Sandman stars Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine. She’s an occult detective and relative of John Constantine in the series. She has worked with Gaiman before after he penned Nightmare In Silver.
“This Sandman character became so popular that she even had her own spin-off series.”
“I created her to fill the role that John Constantine did in the past. When we broke down the first season, given that we knew that we would be encountering Johanna in the past, we wondered what would happen if we met a version of her in the present as well.” said Gaiman.
“We tried it and the script was sparkier, feistier, and in some ways even more fun. So having written her, we just had to cast her. Jenna Coleman (she/her) gave us the Johanna of our dreams – tough, brilliant, tricky, haunted and probably doomed.”

Neil, as reported by the media houses, will be using the rectified and accurate pronunciation of the surname. Ever since the movie’s release in the early 20s, it’s been pronounced as ‘Constan-teen’ instead of ‘Constan-tyne’ which, according to the creator and the actor, is the wrong form of saying it.
