Kate Middleton rebuffed the first kiss with Prince William
There was no doubt that Prince William was totally smitten by his future wife’s charming beauty. Thus, making no further delay, moments after he first saw her in a see-through mesh dress, he reportedly leaned on her for a kiss. However, shocked at his coldness throughout the entire event, Kate Middleton, then 19, pulled away from the Prince.
“In a room full of strangers…she did not want to make it too easy for the Prince,” an excerpt from the book quotes. The entire build-up of the royal fairytale is mentioned in detail in a book by Nicholl, When Kate Met William: A Tale of Two Lives.
Middleton did not feel free to give in to her desire for the Prince. Nevertheless, the Prince continued wooing his dream woman by saying she was a total knockout that evening. Although the smart and confident Kate Middleton did not pay any heed to William’s advances, she knew she was falling for her future husband. The author even mentions that the scenario of the entire evening was totally calculated on Middleton’s part. Katie Nicholl, the well-established Royal author, says Kate Middleton could not help but blush at the Prince’s flattering comments.
