Although both have had their share of controversies, a DJ battle between them would certainly be a sight to behold. Often credited for popularizing gangsta rap, Dre has maintained his success in the industry for some 30-plus years now. Ye quickly rose to stardom, thanks to his flamboyant personality. He was also in demand as a producer because of his unique sped-up sample-based beats.
Now imagine the two greatest rap producers of their time combating a DJ battle on Verzuz. Well, Verzuz, if you are unaware, is an online and innovative platform created by Grammy award-winning producers and entrepreneurs, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. As one of the Twitter users prompted fans into a banter of Yeezus vs Dre, they presented their best arguments to justify their choice of winner. The Dr. Dre side of the party argued that the founder of Beats Electronics has been in the industry much before the Yeezy brand owner and would knock him out with a plethora of profiles he has had under his forte. Others simply state that they have huge respect for Dre “but Kanye smoking that man like the chronic.”
