We all know the sweet dead brother of Hargreeves is now a Sparrow sibling, living in the alternative timeline of superheroes in season 3. Justin H Min, who plays Ben in The Umbrella Academy, got to show off his tentacles in the latest season. Up until then, Ben’s powers were a mystery, only ever projected through Klaus. In season 3, Ben had a tenacious desire for power to be at the top among his new siblings.

While his tentacles certainly seem formidable, they left the cast of The Umbrella Academy in splits in during the show’s Geeked Week The Umbrella Academy: Unlocked.

Justin H Min asked about his “tenties” in The Umbrella Academy season 3

The official page of The Umbrella Academy posted a hilarious clip on Twitter that made fans go roll on the floor laughing at what Felicia Day asked Justin about his powers. The clip was from the The Umbrella Academy: Unlocked, where Day asked Justin about his “tenties” and getting to use them in season 3.

The question succeeded the host’s question to Aidan Gallagher about his bathroom fight scene in the season. So, no one expected the “tenties” question to drop. Gallagher was quick to respond with  “Fun transition, by the way,” while others giggled and chanted “The tenties, those tenties”.

Turns out the actor had much fun using his “tenties” this season but they weren’t always tentacles. In fact, during the shoot, Min had a pool noodle attached to him to help him visualize the tentacles.

Ben gets to use his powers in season 3

Season 3 was the first time viewers saw Ben’s supernatural powers, and they were not frightening but amusing. It is a mysterious thing that he can channel eldritch creatures through his stomach. And viewers saw him releasing the tentacles from his lower abdomen to fight his enemies.

However, his powers in the series differ from what is depicted in the comics, as stated by Screenrant in their article.  In comics, he has a large hole in his stomach, whereas, in season 3, he can manifest his powers as a sparrow.
