If there is one film this year that has managed to keep its name in the good books both critically and commercially, it is The Adam Project. Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell play the leading roles in the film. After its success, fans knew that Scobell would get around easily in the industry. Yet, him playing the lead role in this highly anticipated Disney+ production is still a pleasant surprise to many viewers.

What’s so special about Walker Scobell?

Ryan Reynolds is an actor used to stealing the spotlight. Be it a lead role or a supporting one, the actor has always managed to make sure he stands out. And this doesn’t necessarily involve him outdoing himself or trying too hard. Reynolds’ natural charisma is enough to do the deed.

Hence, when the creators of The Adam Project hired Walker Scobell to play a younger Reynolds, expectations were high indeed. And evidently, Scobell is more than living up to the name. Fans are expecting no less of the actor as he is set to star in the live-action series based on the Percy Jackson books.

After the release of the 2012 and 2013 Percy Jackson movies, book readers certainly were disappointed. Not only did the movies change a lot of the plot but, the actors were also significantly older than the characters. This took away a lot of the essence of the beloved YA series. Hence, in this production, Disney+ is ensuring they hire just the right person to bring Percy Jackson to life.

Just like the young Adam from the Netflix Original, Percy Jackson is also a sharp-witted young man. He doesn’t hold back on witty remarks, nor does he on his anger. After seeing Walker Scobell nail the role of young Adam to perfection, fans know for a fact that he will make a great Percy Jackson.

After working with Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, and Jennifer Garner, Scobell is going to work on an upcoming project starring Owen Wilson and Michael Peña.
