Since its 2020 debut, Netflix's Bridgerton franchise has captivated audiences with its lavish romance and drama. While fan interest has ebbed and flowed with each successive sequel, one constant has remained: Jonathan Bailey's mesmerizing portrayal of Anthony Bridgerton. Unlike Simon, the beloved Duke of Hastings, who departed despite a devoted fanbase, Bailey's enduring presence has anchored the series.

Currently, as the heart of the Bridgerton franchise, the actor reveals he is willing to jump back anytime they start, unlike the ancient favorite of the franchise.

Back in 2023, Regé-Jean Page, the charismatic Duke of Hastings, shared his true reasons for leaving Bridgerton in a Vanity Fair interview. When asked if he departed to avoid typecasting, Page described his motivation as "much simpler" than speculated. He stated, "I signed up to do a job and I did the job," speaking of his clean and confirmed departure. Page clarified that he initially committed to telling a specific story, and once that narrative was complete, he chose not to extend his stay.

However, speaking of his love interest and probably the favorite Bridgerton of all to this date, Regé-Jean Page hinted at Phoebe Dynevor's potential return as Daphne in the future Bridgerton seasons. Although she has not appeared in season three, Page left the door open, saying, "Potentially in the future." Fans remain hopeful for Daphne's comeback while Page enjoys season three as a viewer.
