“Jokes on the bench”- Chris Rock Has Kevin Hart in Sheer Shock, as He Shows off His Pre-show Ritual
In the world of comedy, not many stars can get a reaction like Chris Rock and Kevin Hart. While both of them have been stars in their own right for decades now, they recently teamed up with Netflix for a documentary called Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only. Although the trailer came out a week ago, the streamer chose to hype up the show with a glimpse into the 58-year-old’s “pre-show process.”
While the hype for the upcoming show has already been riding an all-time high, The Man From Toronto actor stole the spotlight in the clip with a simple one-liner that left him cracking up.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Netflix shared a clip from the upcoming comedy documentary. It showed a scene of the 44-year-old being “blown away” after finding out his fellow comedian’s process involved a huge number of “bullet points” to follow for the night. Although it could be a smart way to keep track of his jokes, Hart commented that he had “jokes on the bench.”
His joke ended up garnering a few chuckles from the surrounding people. However, he was evidently the person who found it the funniest. While the clip ended up giving fans a glimpse into what they could expect from the documentary, they thankfully do not have to wait too long before the show drops as it is set to be added to the streaming library on December 12th.
While the show is set to come out soon, the streamer only recently ended up releasing the official trailer for the upcoming Kevin Hart and Chris Rock comedy.

Earlier this year, Netflix announced its plans for Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only. While everyone immediately expected it to be a comedy, the stars decided that it was time to give their fans an inside look at the stand-up world. In the upcoming documentary, the comedians take their viewers along with them to see their struggles and also revel in their wins.
The news of the documentary came months after Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about the infamous Oscar slap. While the actress went on to make a couple more startling revelations, Rock ended up shutting them down in an iconic way. If fans are lucky, the show could also have the star cracking more jokes about the Will Smith incident like he did in the Netflix special.
