Johnny Depp Smirked When “Netflix Is a Joke” Found Its Mention in the Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Trial
Johnny Depp won the defamation suit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Their trial had been going on for a long time now. So many witnesses and shreds of evidence were presented. In the end, the jury ruled in Johnny’s favor. Some witnesses had some funny statements to make, which made the whole court laugh. The witness mentioned below said something regarding Netflix, and it made Johnny smirk.
What made Johnny Depp smirk?
Johnny Depp had filed a countersuit against Amber Heard. Johnny explicitly hired a globally recognized attorney, and, Making A Murderer featured, Kathleen Zellner. Both sides presented various pieces of evidence and witnesses. On May 2, Monday, Richard Marks became the third person to be deposed at the trial. Richard is an entertainment lawyer who was the first person to appear in the courtroom in person that week.

In the deposition, Richard implied that a studio would not hire an actor with a bad reputation because it might harm the movie and the brand. The lawyer from Amber’s side asks Richard a line of questions about the articles published in different years. He repeatedly says that he didn’t remember the exact date and articles, but he was aware of certain negative news about Johnny Depp.

When the lawyer asked him, “You’d agree that there was another article in 2015 that says ‘Johnny Depp become Hollywood’s biggest jokes?” To which, Richard answers, “I don’t know. Netflix has a whole festival going now, Netflix is a joke.” Watch the reactions of Johnny as Richard spoke these words:
