When Stranger Things hit the screens in 2016, no one anticipated the show to get so huge. Not even the cast. They were a bunch of unknown newbie actors taking on a bunch of monsters in a small town. But as it turned out, the show was a sensation upon its release. Its cast, especially the kids, became popular overnight. Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard, who played Eleven and Mike, respectively, in particular, won millions of hearts.

David Harbour, who played Chief Jim Hopper, was yet another actor to benefit from the show’s popularity. Although he has been in the acting industry for decades, it was not until the Duffer brothers show that he would get his claim to fame. David recently appeared for an interview to promote his movie Violent Night, where he spoke about feeling paternal towards his teenage co-stars in the Netflix series.

David Harbour is both proud and scared of Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard’s popularity

Although the world may now know Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown as teenage superstars, David feels a bit differently. He feels protective and fatherly towards them, having known them as kids. They grew up on the sets in front of his eyes, so it is only natural for him to feel so protective of them. Although he is extremely proud of them and appreciates the love fans pour on them, he feels a tad too terrified when fans go a bit gaga over them.

“It’s terrifying and thrilling at the same time… To see the world just fall in love with them to the point where they just want to eat them up is terrifying,” he confessed.

Millie has given hits with Godzilla and, more recently, Enola Holmes. For her next project, she is working with the famous Russo brothers in The Electric State. As for Finn, he is doing well for himself as well. He starred alongside Paul Rudd in the successful Ghostbusters sequel and is appearing alongside Julianne Moore in When You Finish Saving The World.
