"It's gonna be bittersweet"- Winona Ryder Talks Her Heart Out With a Bumming Update About ‘Stranger Things’ Finale
Everyone is anxiously waiting to put the Upside Down disaster in Hawkins to rest. Netflix’s hit sci-fi series dropped its fourth season two years ago, and since then, the final season has been stuck in a holding pattern. While Stranger Things is still the streaming giant’s shining star, the long wait between seasons has really started to get on fans' nerves. That said, it is still better to bide time and have the season be worth it than to rush and end up disappointed. And from the looks of it, there is more waiting in store.
Winona Ryder recently shared another bit of bad news about Stranger Things season 5 while opening up about the beloved show ending.

Winona Ryder recently sat down for a chat with E! News alongside her Beetlejuice Beetlejuice co-stars, Catherine O’Hara and Jenna Ortega. During the interview, Ryder was asked about Stranger Things season 5 and how she feels about saying "goodbye" after 10 years with the show. Ryder said that “it’s gonna be bittersweet”, but not before revealing that its filming would stretch into the "end of the year".
“We’re still filming,” said Ryder. Earlier this year, Maya Hawke had also dropped hints that they are still in the first third of the season. She told TheWrap, “I bet it will go late”. Hawke also mentioned to Podcrushed that filming the eight-episode season is almost like shooting eight movies due to the long episodes. This could mean the show might drop in two parts, like its previous season- which means, more delay. However, not all news about Stranger Things is as disappointing as this one.
Priah Ferguson recently brought some good news for Stranger Things fans.

Priah Ferguson recently chatted about the final season of Stranger Things during an interview with PEOPLE, where she also discussed Bath & Body Works’ new collection. The actress, famous for her role as the badass Erica Sinclair, reported that the “filming’s going great” for season 5. She also implied that the excitement around the finale is justified as the entire team has been working around the clock to ensure a spectacular closure to the Netflix original.
Despite giving the positive update, Ferguson refused to shed any more light on Stranger Things update like her other co-stars. However, similar to Winona Ryder, the 17-year-old star admitted that filming the final season and working with her co-stars again has been a particularly "bittersweet" experience, mainly because this could be the last time they work together.
