Looks like Ryan Gosling picked up all the award-winning romantic movies just so that he can use all the love-dripping dialogues for his character Ken for the upcoming Barbie movie. “It’s becoming my whole life”  to “I feel the Ken-ergy in me,” Gosling is always just two seconds away from bringing out his inner Shakespeare every time someone asks him about Ken. The actor who is mostly known for taking up roles that require seriousness broke the Internet when photos of him styled as Ken surfaced.

The actor is so happy about taking up the role of Ken that he did not mind the majority of the questions at The Gray Man promotions being about Ken. In one clip at The Gray Man premiere, the actor gives out another reason why Ken is going to be his ultimate role.

Ryan Gosling has a personal reason for signing up for Ken

Seeing Ryan Gosling all decked up in a sequin jacket with washboard abs full on display right after watching him mostly dressed in gray and black for The Gray Man was definitely a whiplash. Photos of Gosling in a cowboy outfit and then in a neon pink jacket left the Internet speechless, while the actor himself and his co-star was mortified by them images. While some fans immediately jumped to write The Notebook actor is the personification of the Ken doll himself, a small group doubted if he could nail this cartoonish role. But this is Ryan Gosling we are talking about here; the actor who can make a single nod the most devastating thing in the world. And if he believes that all his life had shaped him to pick up the role of Ken, then who are we to disagree?

When asked by Vanity Fair, how did he feel the first time he dressed up as Ken, Gosling without batting an eye said, “Finally!” The actor further added, “This is becoming my whole life.”

And as if he hadn’t already made clear his love for his character, The Gray Man actor said, “I felt seen” when he saw himself in his Ken apparel.

Much like how Barbie doll swept the entire world with its wave, Ryan Gosling picking up Ken is not just an ordinary role but a movement. The actor has hinted at it by using “Ken-ergy”, “the Ken life” and finally “I think a lot of Kens will feel seen when they see this.” Moreover, the actor said that he would “bring justice to Ken” when he called Greta Gerwig to confirm that he will indeed be playing Ken, and he is determined to make it happen.
