Margot Robbie cracked up all the time on the set of ‘Barbie’
As the 32-year-old actress made an appearance on the red carpet of the Golden Globes, she opened up about her time on the set. She also shared how she avoided laughing at Ryan Gosling in his performance as Ken. “Oh, I was cracking up all the time,” admitted Robbie at the 2023 Golden Globes to Variety’s Marc Malkin.
The Australian actress said that the set had extremely positive vibes and laughter, along with dancing and vibing to the music. When questioned on what kind of music the cast rocked out to on the set, Robbie said, “I can’t tell you, it’s all a secret.” This just adds to all the secrecy surrounding the film, particularly its plot.
The actress said that it is way too soon to reveal anything. However, she did mention that there will be dream houses in the movie, like the actual Barbie playsets. Along with playing Barbie, Robbie is also producing the film, so it is a big deal for her. She calls it a “LuckyChap” project, for which she has been approaching Greta Gerwig for 4-5 years.

Robbie has also said that when people hear that there is going to be a Barbie movie, they have a very stereotypical image building in their minds. But when they hear that Gerwig is directing the film, they flip. The director herself confessed that there is more to Barbie, especially Ken’s character.
The film is releasing on 20 July this year, are you excited about it? Tell us in the comments.
