Millie Bobby Brown has wrapped the shooting of her next sci-fi movie, The Electric State. This new Russo brothers movie is based on the 2018 novel by Simon Stålenhag of the same name. Bringing it onto the big screens required not only a lot of work but also the use of special effects.

They shot the flick in Atlanta wherein the 18-year-old actress was often seen wearing retro clothes to go with the movie’s time period. After months of the shoot and some troubles, AGBO films took to social media to share the news of its wrap-up.

Electric State is ready for its release after months of shooting

Millie Bobby Brown’s The Electric State completes its shooting after months. AGBO, the production house, took to Instagram and wrote, “that’s a wrap on Electric State”. They also thanked their entire team and congratulated them on their hard work. The caption was put along with photos of the crew members and their moments from the movie sets. As per Collider, they wrapped up the shoot on Tuesday, 7th February 2023.

While no exact confirmation is out yet, the movie is said to release on 3rd January 2024. It took a long time to turn the idea of the movie into a reality because of financial issues. The movie required a staggering amount of $200 million. Plus, the movie had come to a halt when a crew member passed away due to a car crash accident. The entire team was given counseling before resuming the shoots again.

The movie will be Brown’s second sci-fi project after Stranger Things. With retro styles, chilling horror, and robots, it is a mix of several unfamiliar concepts woven into one story.

The Electric State is speculated to be based in around 1997, in a post-apocalyptic time where the main female character Michelle set off on a journey to find her lost brother. The character is accompanied by her friend and robot named Skip on her journey. A roller coaster of adventures and emotion in a stranger world is everything we can expect from the movie.
