Hollywood is not lacking in handsome men especially since it attracts talents from every part of the world. Every year People grants the title of Sexiest Man Alive to a celebrity, and the achievement is well celebrated. However, it is only this year that the title has stirred controversy and has caused widespread resentment. The magazine crowned Chris Evans as the Sexiest Man Alive this year, but fans of Henry Cavill have vehemently rejected it.

We may have an imminent war on our hands should Evans and Cavill’s fans clash. For now, let’s take a look at what Superman fans are saying.

To say the fans of Henry Cavill are disappointed is an understatement. They are enraged over People’s choice this year and feel that they have wronged their favorite superstar.

Both can rightfully lay a claim to the title considering they have a roster of hit movies, are charmers, handsome, and have a phenomenal physique. Not to mention Henry plays Superman and just recently stepped down from The Witcher. He played a monumental role in establishing the DCEU.

His turn as Sherlock in Enola Holmes was also highly praised. Similarly, Chris was MCEU’s Captain America and has churned billions for the comic book giant. He continued his tradition of giving hits with Netflix’s The Gray Man this year. He is a part of the Knives Out franchise that is soon to release another sequel this year. So really, it’s a tough decision to make between the two considering both enjoy a massive female fan following. 

Previously holders of the title were the ever-young Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, etc. Maybe we will see Cavill on the cover sometime in the next few years if the fans keep manifesting hard!
