The journey of Sydney Sweeney to a platform as huge as Hollywood was a tough one. With no celebrity godfather and being a small-town girl, the 25-year-old had to struggle a lot more than a city dweller trying their luck in the industry. She had to convince her small-town parents to let her try her luck in the industry. In fact, she had to make a five-year business plan to assure them she was serious about the acting business.

Thankfully, her parents took her successfully, but there were still many roadblocks in the Sweeney family’s path. Apparently, they could not afford the plane tickets to Los Angeles; hence, they used to drive all the way to the city and come back the next day. The actress even mentioned that her parents could not even afford the hotel rent. As a result, they would not stay there and leave immediately after the auditions.

But these drives were not just a few hours long. Sweeney told People, “It was crazy. It’s like, a good 19, 20-hour drive.” Moreover, these long drives were not a onetime or two-time thing; they did this often. She even mentioned that they only had gas money, and that is why they had to come back. But when did this all stop?

When Sydney Sweeney finally moved to LA

One thing that is clear from the story of the Euphoria actress is that her family did not have the fortune to spend on her dreams. However, her parents still gathered courage and decided to move to LA, leaving everything they had in Spokane. With two young kids, the actress’s parents began a new life in the big city with almost nothing.

Today, their daughter has more than ten projects lined up and big brands like Armani and Laneige, making her their brand face. She was nominated for two Primetime Emmy awards for Euphoria and The White Lotus. She now owns a production company called Fifty-Fifty Films, under which she is producing half the projects she is a part.

From a 20-hour drive to two Emmy nominations, Sydney Sweeney has come a long way. She is a true example of the fact that hard work and concentration can get you anywhere.
