It focused on his health struggles and his following sabbatical from Hollywood when he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014. Directed by Leo Scott and Ting Poo, the documentary is called Val. But no, it is not available on Netflix. According to Digital Spy, they are available on other platforms.

On 1st April, the news of Val Kilmer's death by pneumonia was confirmed by his daughter to The New York Times. The news came as a shock to everyone who did not expect Kilmer to pass away at only 65.  Quickly, tributes from Hollywood started to come in.
