It focused on his health struggles and his following sabbatical from Hollywood when he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014. Directed by Leo Scott and Ting Poo, the documentary is called Val. But no, it is not available on Netflix. According to Digital Spy, they are available on other platforms.

For those who do not have access to these platforms and wish to stream it online, they can rent it on Prime Video or own a physical copy.
The documentary is critically acclaimed and has a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which called it “an absorbingly reflective documentary.” Kilmer's life and bravery have been an inspiration for fellow actors who are voicing their disappointment after his death.

On 1st April, the news of Val Kilmer's death by pneumonia was confirmed by his daughter to The New York Times. The news came as a shock to everyone who did not expect Kilmer to pass away at only 65. Quickly, tributes from Hollywood started to come in. His Top Gun co-star and good friend, Tom Cruise, also paid tribute to him at CinemaCon.

Josh Brolin wrote on Instagram how much he is going to miss him and called him a brave, Uber-creative firecracker. Josh Gad thanked him for giving him precious childhood memories through many of his movies. And the fans also took to social media to express their condolences for the actor and his family. With his documentary and other movies available, they sure can watch him whenever they miss Val Kilmer.
