While fans of Never Have I Ever have always been supportive of the lead actress and take whatever she says as a royal order, things are not going well in the fandom after what can only be described as a cruel trick.

Among the many anticipated releases of 2023 is the fourth season of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever. Fans know that it is just around the corner and are waiting with bated breaths for a trailer to drop. And hearing their demands, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan had to do something about it.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan gives Never Have I Ever fans a whiplash

On the 4th of April, Ramakrishnan decided that she has had enough of her fans being ignored. Therefore, she hatched a plan to get them the perfect trailer for Never Have I Ever Season 4. While one would think it is the creators and producers who decide when the trailer is going to be released, the Never Have I Ever fandom counts on Ramakrishnan more than anything else. And she proved that she is the Gen Z Queen when she pulled a classic ‘Get Rickrolled’ prank on her fans.

The actress used a plausible Never Have I Ever Season 4 trailer thumbnail with Netflix’s logo and added a link that would open up to Rick Astley grooving.

There was indeed no Season 4 trailer and nor has the 21-year-old actress revealed any juicy details about it. Much like the lead actress herself, the Never Have I Ever Season 4 trailer is fashionably late. Owing to the fact that three days had passed since April Fool’s Day, fans never saw it coming. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan just gave us all a masterclass in pranking, ahead of the many love and life lessons that the upcoming season will probably entail.

When is Never Have I Ever Season 4 releasing?

One of the major reasons behind Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s prank hitting the bull’s eye as it did is the fact that the trailer will indeed be dropping any time soon.

While there has not been an official statement surrounding the release date, the filming finished months ago. Moreover, Never Have I Ever premiered on Netflix in April 2020 and was followed by a second and third season in July 2021 and August 2022, meaning Season 4 is right around the corner.
