Acting and modeling, Sadie Sink is winning both in the upside-down and the real world. The 20-year-old actress is making heads turn everywhere she goes with her talent and achievements. While Sink has been acting since she was seven, it was in 2017 that she met her breakthrough performance, Max Mayfield, in the second season of Stranger Things.  She is one of the most pivotal characters of Netflix’s flagship thriller series.

Another fantastic project that Sadie has been a part of which brought her immense popularity the Grammy music-winning artist Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film. When she is not vowing us away with her phenomenal acting talents, Sink is slaying on the runways. She is the brand ambassador of Kate Spade and is the star of Stella McCartney’s winter collection campaign. Given her quick rise to fame, many wonder if Sadie Sink, similar to her Stranger Things co-star Maya Hawke also has family in showbiz.

Is Sadie Sink a ‘child star’ or a ‘child of stars’?

After seeing her phenomenal performance in The Whale which according to many is the best movie of 2022, Sink is once again the center of attention. The finesse with which Sadie Sink plays her characters makes everyone wonder if acting is in her blood. While acting may be her talent and comes to her naturally, Sink’s parents are not actors.

The Stranger Things actress loved to reenact High School Musical. And her mother just noticed how brilliant her daughter was at acting. Therefore she encouraged her daughter. Because Sadie’s mother, who goes by the name Lori, is a math teacher many would think that she would be against the idea. But contrary to popular belief, she is one of her biggest supporters.

The Whale actress’s father is named Casey and teaches rugby. Additionally, Sink’s performance as Annie on Broadway when she was just a toddler is something to marvel at. This was before she started learning at a theatre school. Following her Broadway escapade, the entire Sink family, including Sadie’s three brothers and a younger sister, moved to New York.

If you thought that Season 3 Episode 6’s little Max looked way too similar, you weren’t the only one. In the E Pluribus Unum episode of Stranger Things, Sadie’s younger sister, Jacey, played the younger Max. So while Sink’s parents were not in the acting industry, she was born to be an actor.
