Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in The Change-Up

Comedy-fantasy film The Change-Up was first released worldwide on 5th August 2011. The body swap comedy is a familiar genre to the audience. The movie starring Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and American actor-director Jason Bateman has a similar concept. In the film, we see two inseparable best friends, Mitch (Reynolds) and Dave (Jason), who grew up together, come out utterly opposite as adults. However, behind closed curtains, they both envy each other’s lives. To Mitch, Dave is living it up with a beautiful wife, a family that loves him, and a high-paying job at a renowned law center. One strange night, the two friends get drunk and express their wish to live each other’s lives. In a scene, they are urinating in a fountain, lightning strikes, and they wake up in each other’s bodies. Initially, the two freak out but later decide to try to live each other’s lives. However, soon after, the guys realize that all that glitters is not gold. The chaos begins, and with time not on their side, both friends hilariously struggle throughout the movie.
